OUR ABODE

A pic of our house in summer.  I am so
proud of all my flowers this year.  But I guess
you can't see them very good in this pic.

Pet Cemetary

Here lies our 2 family pets, Reggie and Jed.
We have strawberries, flowers, wild roses and lilacs.  Gracie is in there checking things out.

Upside down tomatoes

We learned how to do these for an enrichment activity.  They are doing great.

Our Garden

All sunlight is good for our garden.  Carl is in the background finishing putting up the fence to keep the moose out.  Last year they ate our garden up.

Goodbye to our beloved Jed

Jed was born in June of 1996.  We took him home in August of 1996.  He was not the puppy we had picked out.  When I went to get him all the puppies were gone and the girl did not keep it straight who picked out which puppy.  But I took Jed and he cried all the way home.  He had very hard puppy years and I was so glad that we had gotten him because maybe someone else wouldn't have been so patient with him.  He went to puppy school and graduated by running an obstacle course.  Some funny memories of Jed are that he chewed the plug in off my car, he chewed the rubber tread off of Carl's snow machine, his tail was very deadly and chopped off the top of one of my plants.  The plant came out of it and I still have it.  After the puppy years Jed grew into a wonderful dog.  He was a loyal, loving dog.  One time when I had the flu he laid by my bed the whole day.  Every morning for 13 years Jed has gotten up and came to the side of my bed and checked on me.  He would touch me with his nose and then go back and lay down.  He was my best friend and our family misses him very much.  I know that he and Reggie are running together right now.  By Jed.....We love and miss you so much.

Frozen Toes

This is my favorite picture of Richard. He is so cute and thinks he lives in Florida. I can't hardly ever get him to even wear a coat. A true Alaskan.

Gracie having fun with trash

Gracie is a fun dog. She is full of IT! Not much gets passed her.
She is very cuddley and loves to steal food off the coffee table.
Last night she stole mom's string cheese. When it went missing, we knew exactly who took it. She is fun and cracks us up. The vet put her on a diet and you would think she is starving to death. She has slimmed down, but don't you dare drop anything on the floor when you are cooking. She is very fast. She also loves to give kisses.

Alaskan Visiting Teachers

Mom and I had a wonderful time last weekend. Sister Beck, the General Relief Society President came to Fairbanks.  What an uplifting and spiritual experience.  She is so beautiful inside and out.  This photo was taken at the enrichment meeting that Sister Beck spoke at.  I got to meet her and mom and I both got a hug from her.  We left there eager to be better woman.

Hi everyone.  What a fun day we had. We took the dogs to Petco for some spa treatment and when we got there they were taking Valentine pictures with your dog.  So of course we had to have one.  Wish I know how to get it onto this blog.  anyway,  when we picked up Jed and Gracie they were so beautiful and Gracie got her toenails painted PINK.  Now they are asleep and tired out from their day at the spa.

Hope you are all having a fun weekend.

Here is Richard and his friend Jordan. They have know each other since they were 3 years old.
In this pic they both just tested for belts.
Jordan for his blue belt
and Richard for his red belt in TaeKwon do.
They sure are handsome!

Thanks to a my wonderful Bro in law, Rick, I am able to post pic's to this blog.
For my last one today, I want to put out a photo of beautiful Alaska.
This is a view of the valley from Fort Knox.
Carl and Richard and some of our friends went off
on 4 wheelers and snapped this.
Alaska is GREAT!!

Hope you enjoy these pictures.  We sure
miss our family in the lower 48.

Richard was a little hungry one night when we
went out to eat.  He had this big sunday.
And no he didn't eat it all, Mom had to help
which was not too painful.

We love the LDS missionaries and have them over all the
time.  This was two of our favorite guys.
Elder Lao is on the right and Elder Lyman.
Two very good missionaries.

This is my beautiful boy Richard at one of
his Tae Kwan do testings.  The pic is a little
blurry but you can see his foot going through
the board.  He is so awesome and talented.
But, yes, I am his mother. he he

Back ground on the 3 Cox's

This is a new blog starring the Cox family.  This family consists of Carl (the dad), Sue (the mom) and Richard (the 10 year old son) plus Grandma LeBel.

We live in Fairbanks Alaska.  We are partners in ownership in a Jewelry Store.  Carl runs the store, Sue does the bookkeeping and is also a lunch lady for the school district.  Richard is a kid and he goes to 4th grade.  Grandma is retired and enjoys reading and TV and shopping.
